Berlin, Germany
November,1942 Dear Grandmother, I miss Berlin quite a bit. You and Grandfather are there, and so are all my friends. Things are very different here at Out-With. There are always strange adults coming in and out of the house, and Father hardly has time for us. Life has been so grey and dull. I've really been wanting to visit you lately. Also, there are these other people dressed in striped pajamas who always look miserable. I guess I just need to get used to everything. I hope you will right to me soon! Sincerely, Bruno
