People have been in charge of me in many occasions. For example, my brother occasionally baby sits me and my brother Jack. When he is with us he claims that he is in charge and that we must do what he says. Whenever my parents are here he acts all polite and proper, and blames everything on us. He has a completely different personality around my parents. For his sake the change in personality was for the better, but for me and my brothers case, it just made our parents favor Aidan more.
Chapter 10:The Dot That Became a Speck That Became a Blob That Became a Figure That Became a Boy3/16/2016 Bruno decides to go exploring and he comes across a boy sitting on the other side of a fence. He has grey looking skin, and wears striped pajamas and a Star of David arm patch. The boys name is Shmuel and he seems to have a lot in common with Bruno. They even have the same birthday, April 15, 1994. They are both completely shocked that they are both nine. They also discuss the fact that they are currently in Poland. Bruno is completely taken off guard by this and definitely need to pay more attention to things.
I would say that overall any subject you are taught will help you in life. The most important one, in Bruno's case, would have to be history. By looking thinking about what we've read so far, Bruno could really benefit from history. Maybe it will open his eyes to what's going on in his life. History gives you so many answers to so many things. Although some people consider history to have nothing to do with the present, it really gives you a good understanding of how everything happened. History is full of exploration.
Berlin, Germany
November,1942 Dear Grandmother, I miss Berlin quite a bit. You and Grandfather are there, and so are all my friends. Things are very different here at Out-With. There are always strange adults coming in and out of the house, and Father hardly has time for us. Life has been so grey and dull. I've really been wanting to visit you lately. Also, there are these other people dressed in striped pajamas who always look miserable. I guess I just need to get used to everything. I hope you will right to me soon! Sincerely, Bruno In chapter seven of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Bruno is having a hard time getting used to this new lifestyle. He's afraid that if he doesn't make some changes he will go crazy. He decides he will make a tire swing, because he had made one with his friends back in Berlin. Although this time it was different because now he needed to find some help. His only choice was an adult. Unfortunately the only one around was Lieutenant Kotler. Lieutenant Kotler decides to call over Pavel who helps bruno get a tyre and some rope. His plan back fires and he gets seriously hurt. Pavel cleans the wounds, but Bruno's mother tells Pavel not to tell anyone about helping out.
I've always been taught never to judge a book by its cover. Most people can come off as a different personality than usual. Sometimes first impressions aren't great. Sometimes I've not wanted to be around someone because of the first impression I've had. Because I've been forced to be around the person I got to know a lot about them and I'm even still friends with them today. There are definitely people I would like to know more about. Even celebrities are really interesting to me. Everything we hear about them comes from tabloids, and half of the time it's not true. I would like to get to know what their life is really like.
I have had many situations in where I had convinced myself I wouldn't enjoy something, but then end up loving it. Most of the time I'm just stubborn and and even pretend I didn't like it. A few years ago my parents made me go to a summer camp for a week. Camps were never my thing, and I was sure I wouldn't know anybody. It turns out most of my friends attended and that I even made some new great friends. I told my Mom I loved it, and I still attend the camp every year.
In this chapter Gretel and Bruno are just unpacking and trying to get used to this house. What makes the conversation so uncomfortable is that although Gretel is older and smarter she isn't sure what is happening outside of the house. Gretel is almost scared by what she witnesses outside the window. She has an uneasy feeling about everything going on. None of them really know what the foreseeable future could mean.
